I submitted my application SET(M) in early May and now waiting for the time to book the biometric appointment. I have two questions regarding it please:
1. I provided both of my and my partner’s job as financial support, both jobs meet the £18600 requirements. However, my partner will be made redundant From July due covid 19 from this job he started from last year October and not sure if he can find another one any time soon. I started my current job from November last year but as a fact I have been mistreated by my employer and I was advised by employment lawyer that I can sue and leave the company if I want to. But I was told by a friend who applied for PR before that during the process of the application, I can’t change jobs at all as the caseworker would expect me to stay with the same job as when I applied. So I’m now just wondering can I actually leave this job or should I just be patient and stay for the sake of my application? TBH I really want to quit as it’s really stressful to continue working with someone you know who are abusing you but I don’t want this to affect my application as well.
2. Just out of curiosity, I’ve seen various applicants received different responses during this difficult time from HO. Some were asked to email documents, some weren’t ; some were told to wait longer than 6 months, some weren’t. Now I’m just wondering is it because of different routes we are on? For example I heard SET(O) is processed much faster than SET(M) and sth like that? Just curious
