Employment Letter issue for WP holder

Post by showmethemoney » Sun Sep 04, 2011 8:54 pm

I am a WP holder eligible for PR in the next few weeks and plan to submit my ILR application at a PEO.

My current designation in my company is Senior Technical Associate. This is the designation that has been specified in the employer reference letter provided by HR.

However the job title/occupation on my work permit states 'Application Support Analyst' and job description closely matches that of 'Operations Analyst' in Tier2 Occupational COP i.e. 2132 Software Professionals. I'm currently paid a salary of over 30k (against 25k mentioned on my WP) which meets the minimum earnings requirement that is 26k for an Operations Analyst.

I believe that the mismatch in the job titles in my company reference letter and the work permit could be a problem. Please can someone advise how this can be projected in the employer reference letter so that any potential issue/confusion can be avoided?

Please request HR to mention in the letter as
-Mr. ------------- designation 'Application Support Analyst' is redesignated as Senior Technical Associate. This should be OK. One of my friend done in the same way last month.
