Employment letter

Applying for my wife's FLR(M) extension for 5 year route.

1. I earn 45k and have wage-slips and bank statements for last six months. My employer is hesitant in giving employment confirmation letter but say I can use my employment contract for this, if i really need it. What should I do?

2. Also I get child benefit for my two sons who are British under my name. IS that okay?
