Job for experienced Java Web Dev. coming on Tier 2 Dep visa

Hello

I have almost 6 years of experience in Java/J2EE development proficient in additional skills such as Hibernate, Struts, Javascript, CSS and even some Android.

On Tier 2 dependant visa, I will be arriving in the UK next month and I am looking for a permanent job and to switch to Tier 2 General Visa. Can anyone please provide more details whether it is possible and chances for it ?

If someone is looking for a similar skill set do let me know..
