English Language Assessment for Tier 1 (General)

Post by debu » Mon Feb 15, 2010 11:22 pm

Hi All

I need some clarification with regards to the English Language Assessment. I completed my B.E (Bachelors Degree) in Mechanical Engineering from REC Trichy (Autonomous college affiliated to Bharathidasan University). REC Trichy is currently known as National Institute of Technology, Trichy. Both Bharathidasan University and NIT Trichy are available in the Points Based Calculator.

However, since my degree reads Regional Engineering College, Trichy I have the following 3 options

1) Select NIT trichy in points based calculator and submit my original degree
2) Get a translation from NARIC for both bachelors degree comparability and degree being taught in English
3) Select Bharathidasan University in points based calculator and submit my original degree.

Please advise which is the best option.

Any inputs will be highly appreciated.

Thanks!!

The best (and perhaps the only) option to select the name that is mentioned on your degree certificate ... because that is what you'll need to submit with your application.
