English Language Requirement for FLR(M)

Post by dependantILR » Thu Oct 29, 2015 11:12 am

Hi

I need to apply for an extension of visa for my wife. She came from India to the UK on a dependant spouse visa (of a settled person), and comes under the 5 year route (after Jul 2012)
I am looking at the FLR(M) form and it mentions that the degree should be checked by NARIC to confirm that it is recognised in UK as an equivalent bachelor's degree.

Just want to check in this forum if this step is mandatory?

She did her bachelors from a reputed university in India and has a letter as well stating that the degree was taught in English. We had used the same when she applied for the initial entry clearance visa from India.

I know that for points based applications, you can check online whether your university / degree is recognised, is there something similar for FLR (M) applications as well?

Thanks in advance for your help.
