English language requirement for Tier 2 ICT-Long Term Staff

Hi,

I have been granted permission under Tier 2 ICT Long Term staff migrant category in March-2012 initially for a period of 2 years(until March 2014). I am now planning to extend my visa and I have following queries. Please advise

1) Can I request to extend my visa for another 3 years in single application ? ( up to March-2017) ?

2) Is there a need to meet the English language requirement for ICT anymore and if no, is the same rule applicable for my dependence as well ? ( I heard that there have been some changes in the immigration rules for Tire 2 ICT, that they have planned to remove the English language requirement completely for intra-company transferees effective from 1st Oct 2013)

the max length of the extension will be 2 years or the period of engagemnet whichever is shorter

In that case, Am I eligible to apply another extension for 1 year in future ( in 2016) inside from UK ?

1. yes, up to 5 years total stay

As per the latest rule neither me or my dependents can apply for indefinite leave/settlement. While my wife got enough leave on UK visa, She is planning to remain in India for one year. What is the maximum duration that my wife(Tier 2 ICT Long Term staff Dependent ) can stay outside UK ( India) please ?
