English Language test older than 2 years

Hello,

We are a family of EU citizens.
We took IELTS examinations in September 2015 and used these to obtain EU PR in March 2017, with no problems.

We applied for Naturalisation in Feb 2019 and I was under the impression, that since we used our English test results for the EU PR, we can reuse these for our citizenship application, even is the test result is older than 2 years ( this was my interpretation of what is described here: https://www.gov.uk/english-language/app ... ifications ).

My older son’s caseworker (my son is over 18) got back to us saying his test is expired and he needs to submit a fresh test result.
My caseworker got back to me asking for my test results, which I did not originally send in, because the online system didn’t list it as a document to provide (the system must have figured out it was already seen once by HO). I sent in the original result end of April, but I am now wondering if they will get back to me saying it’s expired.

Does any know what the actual rule is wrt reusing exam results that were used for EU PR?

PR under the EU rules did NOT require applicants to meet the English requirement so whatever you submitted would have been disregarded completely.

There is NO English requirement for EEA/EU route RC or PR.

You can only use an expired test IF it was used for a previous Immigration application (not EEA/EU app) AND it is still from a test provider and test on the CURRENT approved HO list.

Failing to meet the English requirement can result in a refusal for all applicants.

Have you all, over 18's, submitted Life in the UK tests??

Yes, we did submit life in the U.K. we are re-taking a B1 on Wednesday and sending the result in as soon as they come out.
This is a massive oversight on my part. The EU PR forms were like 80 pages times 4 and I provided about 2 kg of supporting documentation.
Morale of the story, don’t leave such big gap between PR and citizenship and remember what you did...
