English requirment for Nationality

I got ILR ON ESOL entry level 1 with citizenship materials certificate and wish to apply for Nationality next year. Please could you tell me that still i need another certificate , i mean ESOL Level 3 or Ctizenship test for Nationality OR my current ESOL level-1 which accepted for ILR will also be accepted for Nationality.
If some one has applied for Nationality on ESOL-Level 1 with citizenship materials certificate, please share the idea.

If you already have ILR and have the ESOL certificate, nothing more is required for Nationality. That's it as far as the English test goes.

I believe s/he is required to move from one ESOL level to the next:

Before you apply for citizenship, you will need to show that you have moved up from one ESOL level to the next. You will need to provide evidence of this as part of your application.

If it was accepted for ILR (the same requirements for ESOL), that will be sufficient for BC application. i.e definately doesn't need to be taken again.

It says quite clearly on the website that, if you take the ESOL+citizenship classes, you will need to move from one level to the next in order to apply for naturalisation. So, if the OP obtained ILR with level 1, s/he needs to have level 2 for naturalisation.

I agree with Sakura If you did the ESOL 1 for your ILR, then you need to be on ESOL 2 for your nationality.

I know someone who has sent a ESOL 1 for his Nationality only a few weeks ago , but that is because esol wasnt required at the time for his ILR application.

If you check the ESOL requirements for ILR, this also states that you must progress from one level to the next. As you have said...your friend recently submitted ESOL level 1 for BC. It is irrelevant whether the language requirement was required previously for ILR. BC applications have the same requirement. Complete level 1 and you will have progressed to level 2. You don't need to complete level 2.
