Entering Germany as a tourist and mail passport to embassy

Post by Jupiter27 » Thu Aug 12, 2021 7:29 pm

Hi everyone,
I would like to know if the following situation is legal.
I am applying for a german job seeker visa in Ireland (I am also in the final stage to get a job offer) Because of the process may take a while and the school of my daughter starts on the 1st of Sep, I was thinking to get the passport back from the embassy to enter Germany as a tourist and send it back by mail to the embassy after entering. I am keeping my apartment in ireland till the visa is approved, so once the visa is approved they will send it to my irish home and a friend will post it back to Germany. Then I would leave Germany and enter again with the visa.
My Mexican passport allows me to stay in Germany for 90 days as a tourist. I won't be working in Germany during that time and my daughter would attend her school.

I would appreciate it if you could advise whether this would be legal action.

Thanks,
Ana
