You can use the valid visa in your expired passport when you’re travelling to and from the UK. You’ll need to travel with your expired and your new passport.
You might have misunderstood my question. The issue is my current passport is about to expire (<6 months left), so would that prevent me from entering the UK? I already know I need to travel with my current passport and the expired passport with ILR on it.
Thank you that makes sense.alterhase58 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 11:46 pmNo, short remaining validity is not a problem, you are a resident, not a temporary visitor, so you can enter the UK.
Why are you using an old passport with an ILR stamp, to gain entry to the UK? According to a previous thread, you naturalised as Brtiish citizen via your parents.applejuice123 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 10:50 pmNote the ILR being on an expired passport is not an issue and I've entered the UK with it in the past. See e.g. https://www.gov.uk/transfer-visa which says 'You can use the valid visa in your expired passport when you’re travelling to and from the UK.
