entering with us citizen kids

Hi again
Our kids are US citizens born after 2007, their father is a British. They currently live with me in USA and I'll be travelling with them to UK. I'm wondering if there will be any issues concerning their entering with me as I will be entering with an EC.
I'm not sure if I explained the problem properly but please answer.

I can see no issues whatsoever , as kids are British Citizens also, if father is British.

The lady who issued my visa/ec said i might be asked questions though she didnt indicate any so i was a bit worried.

are you going to be travelling without their father? If so will father be meeting you at airport?
