Entering (working in) Isle of Man after criminal conviction in UK

Post by tier2013 » Fri Apr 11, 2025 2:36 pm

Is it possible to enter/work in the Isle of Man after a criminal conviction in the UK?
Sentence passed in August 2024 in UK, but has not been served due to being away from the country.

WOuld this flag up at the airport entry to the Isle of Man? Or even during the stay there?

This isn't an immigration question. You best go look for a Criminal Defence Solicitor and make your enquiries there!
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!

To the best of my knowledge, the only way for you to get to the Isle of Man is by flying to either the UK or Ireland and then traveling onward to the Isle of Man.

The UK and Ireland share border entry data so anything that would flag up at the UK side would also flag up on the Irish side.

So, how do you plan to travel to the Isle of Man?
