Hi,

Mostly there is no time limit to enter UK after EC. But one of the consultants whom I had enquired mentioned that it is earlier the better as after 2 years of validity period, you would be requiring to show 1 year of income earnings in order to apply for extension.

Since the validity is 2 years, ideally you can enter max after one year. But why take the risk, especially getting a job might not happen in the same time frame we expect.

Though applying to job sites, consultants might respond back, however employers might prefer to have in-country candidates. If you already have a job in hand, the situation is relaxed.

Hope this helps.

Please read this thread, it answers your question.

But incidentally, why would you want to waste so much of your visa? Why not wait to apply for EC?
