Entry date

Hi everyone,

I am currently holding dependent visa valid until Aug 2010. I will soon go back to apply for to my own country to apply for Tier 1 visa myself as main applicant. I am quite struggling in giving them my expected date of entry. My questions are:

1. Will they normally give me visa valid from the date I stated, if they have made decision before that date?

2. Say if the visa is from 15 Jan 2010, but I can only make the trip on 1 Feb, there is 2 weeks gap. Is this gonna be a problem? Will I need a second extension?

3. Say if the visa is from 1 Feb 2010, but I receive my passport back before that date, because my previous dependent visa is still valid, can I enter into the UK with dependent visa? If yes, will this be a problem when counting towards 5 years period?

However, if your circumstances have changed, then your previous entry clearance may be cancelled (321A). If you do enter on your old entry clearance, then your new entry clearance would not be activated.
