Re-entry with one month left on my student visa

Post by nio68 » Sat Nov 12, 2011 8:51 pm

Dear All,

I have a quick question. I am done with my masters but my graduation is Dec 15 and my student visa expires Jan 12, 2012. I intend leaving UK Nov 26 to return Dec 12 for my graduation on the 15th. My question is can i do this? Will the immigration officer cause any problems for me?

Any advise will be much welcome. Has anybody any such experience of this?

Thanks all.

Best,

Its risky!

They will not let you enter = 95% chance

They will keep you detained at Airport, few hours or a day, then let you enter = 5% chance

They will let you enter starightaway = 0% chance

So choice is yours.

this is just scaremongering. Where do you get these 'statistics' from?

Yes there is a possibility of being refused entry, but not a 95% possibility. In my experience the majority re-enter the UK with no difficulties, but there is a risk of being refused entry.
