Error in place of birth in BRP

Hello All, I have query regarding newly received brp card, place of birth is mis spelled .. Is that an issue or not, what can be done to correct the same, if I need to apply for VISA for dependents can I proceed with this brp or do I need to wait till the correction?.. Will the brp number remain same or do home office issue new brp?.. Please advice.. Skilled workers VISA is applied from with in uk.
