Hi
I have just registered from a well known college (Preston College) for ESOL, Just realized that they will give letter of successfully passing ESOL Level 1 but as because awarding body of ESOL is City and Guilds so the actual certificate will come afterwards. Now i wouldn't bother if it follows in 4-5 weeks but I have been told that it could takes from weeks to months and waiting time from 8 weeks to 2-3 months even. I didnt know that certificate will take that long otherwise I wouldn't register with them.
Now situation is I am thinking to apply in March but what if I will have only College's letter stating that I have passed the exam NOT the actual certificate. As I am going in person appointment so decision will be same day. College saying me to take the latter and ask them that you will send certificate as soon as You receive it and then at-least application process will start and they saying many candidates have done this way. ( which is a bit of stupid idea in my case as I am applying Same day and that's why paying more fees).
What you guys recommend/suggest/advice? What do you think I should take risk by taking that college letter saying I have passed ESOL exam successfully but hasn't receive the certificate yet OR I should go for any other test like Trinity college which at-least will be same day.
Regards

You may take another test which it can issue a certificate quickly e.g trinity college esol test. Attend peo without the esol certificate highly likely cause a delay.
