Post by wish_uk » Thu May 22, 2025 2:44 am

Dear All, i was married to Hungarian National in 2014, i got Hungry BRP. We both moved to england and got british citizenship, unfortunately we got divorced in 2021.

My question is
1-can I go back to Hungary and can start my life again on the basis of my previous marriage with Hungarian National

If not,

2- how can a british national get setteled in any eu country after brexit.

Thanks

Did you lose Hungarian citizenship?
Do you have a Hungarian passport?

I never had hungarian passport,
We moved out of the eu in my first year of BRP.

Other thing,
Can I now move to Ireland and get passport after 5 years. I think it would be easier than other eu countries. Isnt it.

As a British Citizen you can move freely to Ireland (under the CTA) and apply for citizenship when you qualify.
Use the Ireland Forum for Ireland specific information.
