applying for schengen visa as a civil partner of a french citizen

Hi all

I'm a NON EU citizen residing in the UK on ILR and I'd like to apply for a schengen visa to France. I'm in a civil partnership with a French citizen.
When I complete the schengen visa form there's a question that asks if I'm married to a French citizen, do I say yes to that? As a spouse of a French citizen I don't have to pay fees but not sure if that's applicable also to civil partners?
