British friend moving in Bulgaria for work

Hi friends I’m new here just join forum to solve my friend confusion and actually he’s British citizen and moving in Bulgaria for some work which can take maybe few month or maybe 1
year during that time he want to bring his wife
In Bulgaria as he’s married with Asian women in
Back home.
Just worried if he apply her visa in Bulgaria during his stay there.
After finish his work/job or project can he Bring his wife with him in UK.?????

Or do he need to follow any other immigration

This will depend on Brexit but after having lived in Bulgaria (Exercising right of free movement) your friend could do "surrinder singh route" for his wife IF things stay as they are.
