Cut off time to exercise treaty rights in EU and UK - 31st Jan 2020 or 31st Dec 2020

Post by srivisaN » Fri Dec 13, 2019 7:50 pm

Hi,

Now that we got clarity with UK election and passing of withdraw agreement, can anyone please confirm which one of the below dates are cut off to exercise treaty rights (Free movement to go and work/settle, bring Non-EU dependent Family to stay with British Citizen/EU Citizen) in EU and UK.

Brexit Date: 31st Jan 2020
End of Transition Period: 31st Dec 2020

I have gone through below document, where I got some idea but it was from Nov 2018. Not sure something changed recently.
https://ec.europa.eu/commission/sites/b ... s_en_0.pdf

Thanks,
Sri.

The UK is very much likely to leave the EU next month. The WA is likely to kick in which comes with the transition period. So the cut off time is very much likely to be 31/12/2020
