Long-term resident EC moving into another Member State

Post by Torfumum » Sun Apr 14, 2019 8:52 pm

Hello, does anybody know: will the status as a long-term resident EC which has been issued in the host Member State be equally transferred (as a permanent residency) to the another Member State in the case of movement?

That's the idea but remains to be seen how receptive the receiving member state will be as I suspect they don't like to do it. You will still have to register of course and I am not sure how access to public health care would work. Also not sure if LTR-EC is valid in the UK, Ireland or Denmark as they are not Schengen members.
