I am British, born in the UK in 1968. Am applying for French natioanlity and sent my birth certificate and British passport. However as my parents were from Italy, they said I must have been naturalized. I have never been naturalized but they insist I need a certificate of nationality. Can anyone help me as they refuse to deal with my application until I have

Perhaps you should apply for a Confirmation of status as a British Citizen on Form NS and submit that to the French authorities.
