permanent residence in belgium

hi there! im an american and want to settle with my italian wife in belgium. yeah, i know, an interesting choice but its because of work.

can someone shed some light on the immigration procedure for me there? my wife should get residence immediately because shes an italian citizen, right? i guess ill also get permanent residence or something similar, dont i? but after how long? what about citizenship? thanks y'all!
