Schengen Spain visa

Post by KimK91 » Sun Jul 07, 2019 10:24 pm

Hi I applied for a tourist visa to Spain in June and was refused on the basis of 'means of substance'. My mistake was when I originally applied I submitted bank statements from an account that is in good order and had the funds as per the requirements. A week after submission the emabbasy requested:
1.Bank Statement showing wages paid
2.Payslips

Which I provided but the bank statement had an overdraft which I believe was the reason for refusal.
I've been advised to apply again but as a family member of a EU citizen. My daughter is a British citizen and I have ILR in the UK (NOT EU ILR). Should I reapply without addressing the previous refusal? Has anyone been is this situation?
