The images you posted don't show the entire pages, sentences are cut off on the right side, particularly where the reasons for refusal are stated.

I've double checked, those are the correct pages, only 4 pages and nothing is omitted.

It seems that your wife's visa has been refused on the basis of Article 32 of Regulation (EC) No 810/2009 which can be found here. That's what I managed to gather from a quick Google translation. I suggest trying to translate the whole document that way - it's not perfect but you will get a rough idea why. That's what I had to do with my wife's Dutch visa letter.

Which documents did you submit?

Please explain what documents did you submit that can give a better view of application and we could suggest something ,

I dint think when you apply under 2004/38/EC, the articles of 810/2009 does matter? I don't think so, the best is to contact solvit straight away

Hi all,

So I had a friend red the documents and the visa was rejected as the birth certificates and marriage certificate was not legalised. I just handed in the originals and totally forgot that they needed to be legalised.

Lidia please read on page one which states what I submitted.

Regards

Hi,
Sorry to hear abt that refusal  . I have few questions if you can help please!!

-Did you translate document to Dutch/French(e.g Marriage certificate, Birth Certificate)? Or English documents issued by Nadra are good enough?

-Although according to EU directive Travel Insurance & Airline tickets not necessary but from your first post it look like you have provided them. Please if you can share from where did you get Travel Insurance?

I am a British citizen & like to apply schengen visa for my dependent parents & younger brother from Pakistan. I am in Ireland since Jan 2017( Innitially came here to use free movement rights) but couldnt apply for their Visa after hearing sad stories on this board. After reading your posts I realise that Visa processing time is much faster as compare to Ireland. So just trying to figure out everything before I apply.
Does anyone have experience of getting a ferry from France to Ireland? which I am considering after Schengen entry into Belgium or Is it better to apply resident card in Belgium first? My only concern is language in Belgium to do any kind of job.

Regards,
Omi

Apologies for the delay in updating you all but I've not been well to put it short and have only recently been discharged.

Anyhow a new application was lodged with the requested documents attested and translated on the 2 March 2017. Still waiting to hear back if we got it or not. I feel like its a no given how long its taking.

email the embassy for an update and was told the following: "We have received the visa application and it is currently being treated. The legal timeframe in which a decision must be taken is 60 days counting from the moment the consulate applied the stamp on your traveldocument. As soon as a decision is taken it will be communicated by the diplomatic post which will invite the visa applicant and give the decision."

Omiisl in regards to your question, the marriage certificate was translated to French by Alliance Française d'Islamabad. You can find more information of what is needed http://pakistan.diplomatie.belgium.be/e ... -documents

Omiisl - I'm in the same boat I'm relocating to holland end of may to use free movement rights. How did you decide Belgium to sponsor your family? I've been looking Italy before but it's quite complicated process from Italy as well.

Hi rainish,
I have not decided Belgium yet, in process of gathering details for different EU countries. I might apply their Schengen Visa for Denmark as process look simple & once they (Parents) arrive in Denmark then I can freely move to Belgium(only coz I don't know anyone else in other countries) OR I might try taking ferry from France to Ireland along with my parents.
I already wasted 3 months in Ireland as process looks very slow here & considering other country but will only relocate after visa confirmation.
Regards

Ah okay. I'm doing it slightly differently I'm going to holland and working there for couple of months and then sponsoring my parents on dependent visa. But it's really difficult getting job there i'm dropping my cv's atm but not getting good response probably because i can't speak local language :( Anyway lets keep in touch and i hope it all goes well for us. Thanks

Hi guys, just a quick update. The online Belgium tracking service states that visa will be issued once further information is provided. What it is, I have no idea but should here from the embassy soon I guess.

Omiisl, Rainish and Babajee85, not to sound rude but you guy are all going off topic and talking about other countries. I want to keep this thread on track so that those applying for a Belgium Schengen visa can follow and see what the process has been like. As such, please start your own threads to address specific questions as everyone on this website is very helpful.

Hello all,

So the embassy required new flight reservations which were provided on 20 April, today my wife collected her visa. Happy days. I hope this helps others.

Now I need to start reading up on what the process will be to bring my wife Belgium to the UK and how to fulfill the 'center of life' criteria. :?

Urgent wife stuck at immigration

Post by Battlestar » Fri May 12, 2017 2:00 pm

Hi guys,

Wife was given schengen visa for Brussels. I've been waiting at the arrivals section for an hour so when to the information desk and they contacted immigration who have told me that they are going to ask further questions and get back to me.

Can they refuse entry if the reason for coming was to stay here for 4 months and then go to the UK?!

Please help of you can.

If you are exercising your treaty rights in Belgium, then I don't think that they can refuse her entry there.

Yes I am.

I've been here for a week now and renting a property. Still waiting to find out what's the hold up but they have said to wait as they have many people to process. This is so stressful.
