Travel to France on UK ILR Visa with British Spouse, Visa Free?

Post by ahz84 » Thu Jul 30, 2020 8:49 pm

Hello All
We are planning to go to France for 2-3 days for tourism.

We are 4 people, myself and my 2 daughter have Brisith passport.

My wife has ILR since Feb this year and has Pakistan passport. She has NOT got a valid Schengen Visa.

Question: can she go with us without a Schengen visa? We are planning to go via Ferry ( Dover- Calais).

Appreciate if someone can help, as we are about to book ferry tickets?

Thanks,

In theory, yes.

But keep in mind that all of you could be delayed for hours at Dover by the French PAF (French border police), who will not likely let you pass without detailed checks. So factor in long delays leaving the UK.
