UK - European Dependant Visa

Can anyone tell me about European Dependant Visas ???.. I understand that anyone who is present in UK, can apply for a dependant visa if one of their family member is an citizen of european country and present in UK ???...


Is my assumption is correct ??... if yes..plzz some one help with you expereince or advice...

.. what does excercising your treaty means ????..... I searched the forum ... I am unable to get any answer... however, while reading the IND website ..I understand that there is something called "residency permit" given to dependants of EU citizens who live in UK...

does anyone know more about this ?????

It means that in order to be elligible for this permit, the sponsor, ie you, must have lived, worked or studied in another EEA State other than UK for a period of six months or more. This is called 'Exercising Your Treaty Rights'
