Evidence of earnings

Post by hirens » Wed May 02, 2007 10:11 am

Hi,
I am a software engineer currently working in UK from the past 2 years. I am planning to apply HSMP on the following basis
1) Age = 10 points
2) Degree = 30 points
3) UK earnings = 5 points
4) Salary above > 29000 pounds = 30 points

The total is 75 points and i qualify. However my problem is the evidence required for proving my earnings greater than 29K

My company pays all my taxes. My salary slip which i get monthly shows only a lump sum amount without any Tax details. I do not have a P60 as well.

If i add all the lumpsum amounts in my salary slips for the last 12 months, the total comes to around 29100. I have bank statements which also shows the same amount being credited into my account every month. I have a letter from my employer ie a salry certificate which says that my annual current net salary is 30420. This 30420 is because we got a recent increment this year from March.

Is this evidence sufficient to get me the valuable 30 points ????
Is it OK if the amount in salary certificate does not match the total of all the last 12 months payslips ???

Pls advise

Cheers,
Hiren

lack of a P60 will certainly be a problem for you. you need to prove that you have been paying tax, maybe u need some sort of evidence from ur employer.

also, the letter from your company should not show ur annual net earnings, it will help if u can get a monthly breakdown of ur gross earnings
