evidence to government you are married....? Form set(m)

I just recently got married and applied for my spouse visa flr(m). I'm thinking ahead (way ahead, I know!) when I'll have to apply for ILR using the set(M) form- I looked at the form on the internet. One thing, it said you have to "include evidence that you have declared your relationship to the appropriate government bodies". Who/What does this include? Who do I need to notify? Also, I kept the title Miss and my maiden name.
Any suggestions on what I need to do, if anything? Thanks!

That is just part of Note 6 on page 14 of 17 of the form SET(M).

That Note 6 lists out all the possibilities of the sort of evidence that you need to submit in support of the ILR application.

For example, say you write to HMRC saying you are now married, and then HMRC reply thanking you for your letter, well that HMRC letter could be included in the evidence you supply when you apply for your ILR.

But as you will see, lots of other possibilities. Great you have downloaded the form SET(M) now. No reason for you to have a problem in nearly 2 years time.

my wife has been here 14 months, my collating of documentary evidance is ongoing.....i picked up on the previous post your mention of the letter to the "HMRC" declaring we are married as a couple....i was'nt aware that revenue & customs need to be told? is this right or is it another govt body?

I am not sure that thy do need to be told, except as regards a Tax Credits claim, where it is necessary to keep them up to date with every change of family circumstance.

The point is that if HMRC or any other Government department has written to you then such letter could be used as part of the evidence when applying for ILR.

Nothing above should encourage anyone to think that they can claim Tax Credits. That would depend upon family circumstances.
