Evidence of Residence and National Insurance contributions for citizenship applications questions

I was wondering if anyone would please be able to help with what evidence is expected for proving residency and National Insurance contributions when applying for citizenship.

My husband plans to apply for citizenship soon. He currently has ILR and will apply based on marriage to a British citizen. We have been researching on the gov.uk website and have looked through the guidance notes and can see that he will have to prove 3 years of residency in the UK.

Will they be expecting 3 years worth of wage slips, bank statements and rent payment reciepts based in the UK in order to prove this?

I ask, because for his previous visas we submitted 6 months worth of these things as part of his applications.

If not, will they require these things as evidence towards other parts of the application? I remember seing something about wage slips as evidence of paying National Insurance contributions. Therefore will they want 3 years of wage slips for this or would his P60's be sufficient?

Assuming he is non-EEA, to prove his residency, all he needs is his passport(s) covering the 3 years i.e. the qualifying period.

This is a requirement for EEA citizens to prove residency who don't get their passports stamped in/out. If you are on UK ILR your passport is sufficient.
