Evisa Status is wrong

Post by ksyksy » Tue Aug 13, 2024 12:47 pm

Hi,

I'm frustrated because my dependent's eVisa is still showing her old BRP status, which has expired, instead of her new one. I followed the advice to call the resolution center and spoke to two different agents. Unfortunately, the first agent hung up on me twice and seemed a bit incompetent. However, the second agent was more helpful and reassured me not to worry.

She explained that because so many people are currently applying for eVisas, there are a lot of technical issues. While both my dependent's and my own eVisas are available, she mentioned that I should still receive an email invitation to register the eVisa, which should update the status correctly.

She advised me to check the eVisa status weekly for any changes, though she didn't take any of my details. If there are no updates, she suggested I call again by the end of September or early October, as there will be new guidelines for the eVisa by then.

I'm sharing this because my experience seems different from others, and I'm quite worried. Although my dependent's BRP is still valid, I just want her eVisa status to be corrected.

If anyone has received similar information from their agent, please let me know. I wonder if this is new information provided as of August 2024.

P.s besides the status, they also got my dependent name wrong (missing 1 letter)

Thanks!

Check a couple of other posts and you will read that your experience is not unique, some others experiencing same and are more or less getting similar response as yours when they try to resolve it.
