I was wondering if the Uk immigration authorities ever make exceptions to the rules?
I've been working in the Uk for 16 months, on the old sponsored Highly Skilled Migrant work permit. I didn't realise that changing jobs meant I had to reapply for a new work permit and was informed by a new company that they could sponsor me and set up the appropriate documentation. It then transpired that they hadn't sponsored me and couldn't sponsor me, so I have since returned to South Africa.
I have since been offered a job at my original employer and a Certificate of Sponsorship has been issued.
I am just concerned about the English language tests, which I have not completed. Do you think that they would allow me to complete these tests once I return to the Uk? Time is of the essence here, so at the moment I can't complete the test at such short notice, without pushing back my start date.
I have a file at the border agency explaining the whole messy situation.
Thanks
