Is existing Work Permit document required for an HSMP app. ?

Post by mr_pankaj » Sat Apr 17, 2004 8:30 pm

Hi people,

I am on a Work Permit in UK, expiring mid 2005 (when I also become elligible for ILR).

However, to be able to apply for HSMP now, am I also suppose to submit my original Work Permit, along with the other original documents ?

Comments ?

Yes, of course. Work Permit is not mandatory but it can increase your chance dramatically for HSMP application.

Submission of a WP is helpful but not necessary - HSMP Team will pull up your immigration records from file....after all they are part and parcel of Work Permits UK.

Hi,

Appreciate your comments and making things clear for me.

This makes me ask another question, what if the salary mentioned in the Work Permit document (which I literally got renewed 2 weeks back) is much less than what I actually get (I can prove my actual salary by the salary statements for more than a year and P60).

Note : The salary mentioned on my Work Permit document is as less as that I will not score even the minimu points required. (I will be an in-country applicant) - this is where my original question comes from "Do we have to send the WP along with the HSMP application?".

Please suggest ?
Thanks

as long you can demonstrate the current/ real salary you should be o.k. - it may be best to submit each months pay slip in addition to the P60's to negate any issues the HSMP Team may have - suprised the WP does not reflect reality..any reason why given its new?

hi Kaya,

No clue why this is still reflecting the old details. However I "presume" `coz nobody bothered to got it updated ever since it was made 1st time 3-years back. (hope I am right).

Yeah I should be able to produce the salary statements for 3-years along with all the P60's and I assume for the salary proof they will be looking for the "In this employment Pay" section in the P60.
