Expense involved in filing for H1

Post by TRV » Thu Oct 04, 2007 8:29 pm

I have been offerd by a employer a job in US and they are ready to sponsor my H1B and after a year working with them - sponsor for green card as well. But here is the catch. They are not ready to pay for the H1B and GC and told me that they can sponsor but I need to pay the expenses. So I am wondering, does any one have any idea how much approx it costs for H1B and GC. I would like to see what I am getting myself into if I agree to this. But the employer is genuine though as I know them in the business for sometime.

Thanks

I have heard it's around $5000 for H1B. If I were you I would only worry about your GC after you're already working in the US, if everything works out.
