Experience rejected for not being graduate level- plz help

Post by ispno1 » Wed Feb 08, 2006 4:24 pm

Hi guys

i applied for the HSMP for the second time in January 2006 and received a rejection letter. the first time i applied they rejected my experience by saying that since my experience letter was for a position in Pakistan and i was also doing my ACCA i wud be in UK , hence my experience is fake. The stupid dumbos didnt know that ACCA examinations can be taken outside UK as well. i reapplied and by this time a total time of 1.5 years had gone by and i had gained further experience in treasury and invesmtnet departments. Now the stupid people have rejected my application on the grounds that my experience isnt graduate level. How do i prove to these guys that speicifc roles of Accounts manager, treasury manager and investment associates are roles which require mor ethan a basic UK bachelors degree level of qualification. Can anyone help me out. what do i say in my review petition to convince them that they are wrong. i mean how does one prove that a particulr job or position requires a UK graduate level qualification to fulfill the position.

ill be grateful for input from all guys as i have very limited time for my review.

thanks and Regards

You need to appreciate that the onus is on you to prove these things .. not for those looking at your application to disprove them.

What exactly did you supply to attempt to show that the work is indeed graduate level?

Thanks John for replying. I basically gave experience certificates which stated the start and end date of my position and a detailed description of my duties and responsibilities, along with Bank statements, Contracts of employment and a description of each company in my resume. my roles or positions were Accounts Office/ Assistant Manager Accounts, Assistant Manager Treasury and Investment Associate. All of these roles require highly specialise set of skills. I would be grateful if anyone else with similair jobs could help if he has alos obtained an HSMP approval.

Thanks and Regards
