Dear All,

Kindly let me know:

1) Working in the uk site says that if your FLR application submitted after 15th July they will process in 15 days but their operational services date mentions that currently they are processing the FLR applications received on 3rd Aug, it means it is taking 2 months for FLR applications to process

2) Is it true that I can not start working unless untill i will not get FLR approved despite of having HSMP approval. I am incountry applicant so it means I will have to sit ideally in UK just doing job hunts but can not start working and will be loosing the jobs in hand if luckily if will get the same coz who will wait for me for 2 months to get the FLR.

3) Is it better that if I get HSMP Approval , I go back to india and then apply for entry clearence from India, though I am not sure how difficult is entry clearence but since I stayed in UK for 12 months as student so I donot see any problems.

I would appriciate if you could respond at your earliest as I have to make my decision soon.

1)yes they are currectly processing FLR applications received on 3rd ofAug.Right now.Right now they are taking 2 months and if someone applies today, time duration can be increased too.

2)If you have leave to enter or remain in an immigration category that allows you to work, you can take up employment while your leave application is being processed. Examples of these categories include Working Holiday Makers, HSMP applicants. If you are in any doubt, you should phone the Immigration and Nationality Enquiry Bureau on 0870 606 7766 .

This is written in FLR application form,"guidance notes".
What I understand is that if a person is HSMP applicant and applies for FLR, he can continue his work as We are still working though our Visa is expired but our FLR application is in process. For further info you can phone them.

3) It s upto you if you want to apply from your own country .You must get info that how much time UK Embassy is taking for entery clearance. My understanding is ,this will take more time and money than applying FLR from UK.
