Extending Uk whv

Post by Trudy » Wed Jan 28, 2009 11:25 am

Hi I hope you can help me
my son is on whv in the uk and has applied through an agency for his extended visa Tier 2
this has been going on now for 6mths and his current vias expires in June 2009
He has submitted ALL the neccessary documentation that is required and is awaiting an answer
However as this saga has now been going on for the past 6 months and the replies to his daily enquiries on the statis of his applictaion - it is being processed!!!!! He has paid good money so far for this agency to process his application
My question is what can he do or who do we contact about the statis of his application other than this agency, we understand there could be a back load of applications but this seems to be alittle over the top

Any help would be dearly appreciated as he has a good job and wants to stay
Appreciate your time in reading my problem

Hello

Is it a work permit that has been applied for, Tier 2 was not up and running 6 months ago?

The employer can contact UKBA about the application using these details:

Work permits customer contact centre
0114 207 4074

Customer Contact Centre, UK Border Agency, PO Box 3468, Sheffield, S3 8WA

It has to be the employer because it is their application, not your son's.

Is he intending to return home to apply for entry clearance? What is the role that he will be doing?

Has he been working for over 12 months in the UK?
