Facts about Neutralisation?

Post by simani » Thu Jul 06, 2006 12:16 pm

Hello,

Here is my Situation:

I have been in the UK since 13th April 2003. I am married to a British Citizen. I was given a PR last year in April. By virtue of my facts I am now eligible for a British passport.

Is there any advice that people here would like to give me?

Can I apply for the British Passport now? I have been in this Country for 3 years and married to a British Citizen all this while. Can someone please point me to a link which tells me how to go about it?

I am of an Indian Origin. I have been reading the sticky about the OIC. Is the Indian High Commission in UK issuing OIC to NRIs after Neutralization?

Sorry for all the questions. I need to get all the facts and paper work ready before I make an application.

Thanks for your replies in anticipation.

I hope you mean naturalisation! :) Neutralisation seems a bit drastic....

As a start, why not download Guide and Form AN(NEW) from this page on the IND website?

There's a big "sticky" about OCI at the top of this forum - have a browse through that...
