Family Citizenship application

Post by adrian2278 » Sun May 25, 2025 1:29 am

Hi ,
I have a question regarding my family of 3 citizenship application ,
i have a few friends who are advising me to apply separately ( 3 different application instead of adding everyone's application when asked if someone else is applying with me ) , they say single application gets their approval in a short time period ( under 3 months ) and application as a family takes longer 6 to 8 months to get the approval .

i have a few other single friends who got their approval within 3 months and another family which took them 8 months to get the approval .

i am not sure what to do now , i have a daughter ( under 18) , and thinking me and my wife and daughter send separate application with separate accounts to get approval quicker .

what would be your suggestion or opinion on this please ? Doesn't it look odd to home office ?

Kind Regards ,

You can apply all together.
Why should a family take longer? Some applications take longer than others. If you wait and your daughter turns 18 then she’ll have to satisfy all adult requirements including tests.
All applicants are assessed individually. There’s no family application as such.
