EU Family Member for son in law

I am an international student marries to the daughter of an EU national. Both my father-in-law and wife have pre-settled status. We all live together and depend on my father in law for shelter and financial needs. Now my question is can he (father-in-law) apply for a pre-settlement for me as a son in law. And also if successful will it cause myself and wife to be independent because we're married?? Thank you..
