Now, I am going for the EC.
I asked my local British Embassy, and the requirements for the EC here in my country are not as tough as I've heard for India or Pakistan. They even told me I can get the EC stamped during the same day.
My question is the following: I am going to be migrating to the UK with my wife and 2 kids. I am planning to travel next August and my family around December (when I get a job).
I can prove enough funds to support my family and myself in the UK for more than a year (even more if they stay for a while in my country). Should I apply for the whole family now or later for them?
What if they get the EC stamped now and they travel in a few months? Is this a problem for them?
I know somebody else posted this question in the Forum before, but I never read a clear and conclusive answer.
I asked the local Embassy, and they told me that if my family is going to travel a few months later, it is better for them to apply right before travelling. But, why?
The only reason my family is not travelling with me is that my country is very inexpensive compared to the UK. So, travelling all together would be just a waste of money.
Could somebody help? Specially regarding the question of the EC stamped now and my family travelling later....
Regards.
