Family Visit - indian passport expired

Hi,

My query is related to calling my mum here in UK, i have applied for naturalisatiom 2 months back, my Indian passport got expired and i didnt renew as i am not planning to travel anytime soon..

Now can any1 suggest what should i do for mum visitor visa.. i want to call here here in November, shall i renew my indian passport or shall i apply for her visitor cisa with my expired passport only...
