Family Visit

Post by beauti » Fri May 06, 2011 11:45 am

Hi,
I am planning to invite my sister from a non EU country for visit and have few questions in this regard. I hope some one will answer in detail.

Is it better for her to apply as visitor or as family visitor?
Do I need to show some money in account and / or pay slips?
should i send her a sponcer letter? any spesimen here?
We are a family of 4 (husband, wife 2 kid) and living a a two bed room flat. Should I include a leeter from land lord or estate agent? Any specimen here?
One of the reasons why she is comming here as I am expecting baby and she will be a good help for me. Should I attach a letter from GP showing I am expecting?
Will this help in my application in a positive way or negative?
Will it raise questions in EC officer that she (my sister) is not a true visitor but will be helping kids (say nanny)?
Any other advise?

Can any one please adivise me in this regard?

Regards
Beauti

Hi,

Answers to ur questions: (others can comment better)

Is it better for her to apply as visitor or as family visitor?
-- Any person visiting a relative is considered as family visitor
Do I need to show some money in account and / or pay slips?
-- Both are required
should i send her a sponcer letter? any spesimen here?
-- Sponsor/invitation letter is mandatory. Search few post, you will get them
We are a family of 4 (husband, wife 2 kid) and living a a two bed room flat. Should I include a leeter from land lord or estate agent? Any specimen here?
-- NOC from landlord would serve the purpose
One of the reasons why she is comming here as I am expecting baby and she will be a good help for me. Should I attach a letter from GP showing I am expecting?
-- If you mention this, you will surely get rejected. Better not to mention as they would consider as if you are getting a person in place of using nanny in UK.
Will this help in my application in a positive way or negative?
-- Purely negative
Will it raise questions in EC officer that she (my sister) is not a true visitor but will be helping kids (say nanny)?
Any other advise?
-- State that she is comming to visit your family to spend some time with u.

Good advise ypkr,

Beauti your sister should apply as a genuine visitor and should show that she has strong ties in the non EU country where she resides. You need to show you are able to support her during her visit without recourse to public funds. Her own evidence of income for the visit will also help.

Good luck.
