I am applying for a UK family visit visa and i have some quieries.
I'm a non EU citizen married to a british citizen,im studying in romania, i have a residence card of a family member of a union citizen valid for 5 years. we are in the process of getting divorced but it will take a while at least 6 months as it cant be done now and not started doing anything about it yet.
one of the questions in the UK visa form states if i am married because my wife is living in the UK permenantly and i dont want the UKBA stating that i will be traveling and staying with her permenently , so should i pick married or single.
and i am going to visit my brother in the UK he's a british citizen and i am applying for a family visit visa and he would be my sponsor so will the fact that im married to a british citizen as well affect the decision of me getting the visa.
2.another question, regarding the supporting documents it states to show bank statements but my brother is very sensitive about sharing this information would it be enough to get a letter from the hospital stating that hes working there as a doctor, will it be enough to replace the bank statement, he's also single and not supporting anyone else.
i hope for some clarification thank you.

you have a residence card issued where????
here in the UK (then why do you need a visa) or in romania (so you wife lived there and moved back to UK then? then you should be able to enter UK without a visa see mccarthy)

I am a non EU citizen married to a British Citizen, i am a holder of a residence card for family member of a union citizen (article 10)
issued by Romanian authorities, my wife is living and working in the UK at the moment due to circumstances, my question is i want to travel to the UK for a short period 3-4 weeks and i want to know if i can travel without applying for a family visit visa through the British embassy due to the McCarthy ruling, and would i be able to travel alone from Romania to the UK without her accompanying me.
If thats not possible what other advice would you give me. I hope for an answer soon thank you!

Why do you keep reposting the same thing over and over again . If your intention is to bump a thread just post bump Every 3 days or so.
And is a residence card valid if your partner is not with you anymore and has permanently moved away ?

Hi chriskv1,
Let me clearify, I was trying to delete my first post and post a new one but I couldn't figure how to delete it, so it's not my intention to bump the post or whatsoever, so get off your Judging boots, Update: my partner and I are still together but she's just currently working in the UK due to circumstances, if you can't advice on my situation it's better not to comment on this. Thank you.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
