Family Visit Visa Help

Post by savipuri » Sat May 03, 2025 6:03 pm

Hi , Need help
I'm on a health and care visa and it's up for renewal this October. Can I sponsor my parents for a 2-year visitor visa before my visa extension? I'm worried that my visa extension might lead to their rejection, even though they've visited a couple of times before. Thanks!

You can't sponsor anyone for a visit visa. Visit visa does not require sponsorship.

You can only supply financial evidence that you maintain them while they are visiting. They will still need to demonstrate ties to their home country.

Their visa is not tied to yours. They can state they come to visit you. As long as you are legally present in the UK this will not lead to rejection.
The fact that your visa is due for extension is also not a problem.
As I said your visa has nothing to do with your parents visitor visa. The only limitation is that case officers and border force are instructed to deny entry for someone who's coming to visit a person who is present in the UK with no status. This is not your case.
