Family Visitor Visa for the Child of a Tier 1(G)Visa holder

Post by pta28 » Fri Dec 17, 2010 2:21 pm

Hi,

Iam on a Tier 1 (G) Visa in the uk and planning to apply for the Visa for my child recently born outside the UK(in India).

I would like to know If I can apply for a Family visitor visa for my child instead of Tier 1 (G) dependent visa temporarily .This is because I will be able to apply for PR after 6 months where I have to make Visa application again and to avoid spending much money on Tier 1 dependent visa ( which is INR 56250 ) for a shorter period against a family visitor Visa
(which is INR 5250 for 6 months)

Please also let me know if there will be any issue with the child being on family visitor visa while I make a ILR applciation as after 6 months and can I make the ILR application in UK itself?

Thanks,
Antony
