Family Visitor Visa/My Salary

Post by ashubhatt » Mon Feb 10, 2014 7:53 pm

Hi All

I'm planning to invite my parents for a visit to the UK on a family visitor visa for 6 months. I will be covering their expenses.

Do you think with a saving of 5K and 12K per annum salary I can invite with without any issues?

Many thanks

No. Six months is a long time and you have a really low salary that would struggle to meet even your own individual expenses. 5K in savings is not sufficient to cover a couple's expenses over that period of time and you would have to discount the costs of flights from that. It really depends on whether your parents need your financial support or will they be showing money of their own? Why is your salary so low, less than NMW, after years of working in the UK?
