Fathers Employment Requirement for PBS Dependent child visa

Hi,

I recently got my ILR through Tier 2 Gen route . My wife is currently on Tier 2 Dependent Visa. My child was born outside uk and I'm planning to apply for a pbs dependent visa for my child to bring him to uk. I have a problem with my employment as I'm currently in notice period with my current employer and might be jobless while my child visa is under process. Will this cause any problems with visa. Is it essential for me to be on the job for my child to get a visa?
